Do you have certain items that you use daily in and out of your classroom as a teacher?…SO DO I!! I put together a list of my “Teacher Must-Haves!” These are items that I use, stand by, and believe you will love also.
For me, an ESSENTIAL component of lesson planning is physically writing down my lessons in a plan-book. Being able to write down my lessons helps me channel all of my thoughts and ideas and allows me to follow along as I teach. I found this one on Amazon and when it arrived I was in planner love!! First, I love that it’s a hardcover planner! My planner last year had a soft cover and I had to tape it together to last the entire year. Second, I love the display of it and how the days of the week are across the top and the periods are across the side. Lastly, it has PLENTY of grade recording sheets at the back that are perfect for recording #AllTheGrades of my over 100 students!
I decided this year that I’m going to become a backpack girl! Not only am I working, but I’m also going back to school so I wanted a back that could hold my computer plus work and school books. I found this bag and absolutely love it!! First, the material is nylon and perfect for those rainy days. There’s also a perfect compartment to hold a computer and plenty of space within the main and upper zipper sections. There’s a variety of color options so check it out!
Is anyone else a clipboard person?! I LOVE clipboards and use them ALL the time! I purchased these HOM Essence clipboards and my first observation was how lightweight they were! My second observation was the pretty colors!! There’s also a unique elastic strap that is perfect for securing your papers while walking down the hallway or simply chilling in your school bag.
Last year I made the switch to mechanical pencils and now wonder what took me so long?!?! These Paper Mate pencils are the ones that I saw my students using. I was curious and jumped on their bandwagon! These mechanical pencils are sturdy, come with a great eraser and are super easy to refill and use! Since I committed to using these pencils, I also recommend this lead. This deal is .22 cents per tube!
I LOVE these trays! I use these trays on my desk and designate a tray per class period. When I am done grading an assignment, I put the assignment in the respective class tray. The first observation I had with these trays was that they are super easy to connect to one another. They are also extremely lightweight!
I don’t know about you, but I try to keep myself hydrated during the school day. When I find myself dehydrated, it is usually accompanied by a headache and feelings of fatigue and WHO NEEDS THAT!? This water bottle is great because it provides you a schedule and tracks exactly how much of the water you should drink from the bottle at specific times of the day. My students caught onto this and made sure I kept to my water schedule!!
