Happy holiday season and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! Wow, I’m so happy to be on a little break from work! For me, one of the best parts of this break is CHRISTMAS! Santa stopped by my house this year, so I wanted to share my top 3 favorite gifts! To place these top 3 in consecutive order would be difficult, so lets just say that I love them equally.
First, I was gifted a Kindle! To be honest, I haven’t been a huge reader my entire life. Unfortunately, reading has always felt like a chore and I would never gain a feeling of satisfaction or accomplishment by sitting down to read. I’ve always been envious of those who enjoyed it and showcased an impressive vocabulary because of it. However, I recently decided to give reading another try! I pondered that perhaps I would enjoy reading if I find the right type of book for me. After testing out different genres, to my surprise, I discovered books that I enjoy and now look forward to sitting down to unwind and read. Just because reading hasn’t always been something you enjoyed, doesn’t mean that you will never enjoy it!! (Oh hey growth mindset!) Since reading has become my new obsession, I knew a Kindle would be a great gift! Before receiving my Kindle, I contemplated if I would actually enjoy reading off a screen instead of holding a book. I am a kinesthetic learner and worried if I needed to hold a physical book and turn pages in order to stay focused on the words. However, I LOVE my kindle!!! One, because it’s super light weight and my wrists don’t begin to hurt after some time, and two, because I don’t have to worry about folding pages or using a playing card or anything I can find to hold my spot.
Second, I was gifted an Apple watch! I’m the type of person that wears a watch every day. Putting on a watch is part of my daily routine and I feel as though I’m never truly dressed without one. I’ve had an iPhone for years now, but never experiences an apple watch. I have to say that so far, I’m loving my apple watch!! One of my favorite things about it is being able to alter and customize the face of the watch. One feature is that you can set up to 10 pictures from your phone as the face and they rotate each time you look at it. So cool!!!
Lastly, I was gifted a super cute Kate Spade pocketbook. My go-to type of a bag has always been a crossbody. I prefer to have a small bag hang on me than having to hold something in my hand or on my shoulder. For a while now I’ve used a Kate Spade crossbody bag, however I was searching for one that was a little bit larger. The Watson Lane Quilted Lucie Crossbody was EXACTLY what I was looking for! First, the quilted material is amazing! Second, the size is perfect to carry my kindle, wallet, and any other necessities. I can wear it as a crossbody, or it has two cute handles that I can throw on my wrist.
Although Santa (and others) gifted me amazing presents this year, these would be my top three! What was your favorite gift?! Let me know below!
