Hi everyone! I am sooooo happy to be back to blogging! I originally created this blog almost a year ago in January 2018. My reason behind creating a blog was because I felt as though instagram captions weren’t providing me enough space to express and share all the knowledge that I wanted to communicate. I mean, I guess I technically can make super long instagram captions…but who’s reading a long caption?!
Creating this blog by myself was difficult to say the least because I don’t consider myself a tech savvy person, especially when it comes to creating a website. Throughout the design process I became easily confused and frustrated. Terminology such as “widgets” and “coding” were terms that I was encountering and I had NO clue what they were. After a few google searches motivated by confusion and frustration, I trekked along and created a blog that I was pretty proud of.
I continued blogging for a little while but found myself very unmotivated. I did some self-assessment (Can you tell I’m a teacher?!) to try and figure out why it was so difficult for me to sit down and blog. I discovered that I didn’t take myself seriously as a blogger. My site wasn’t terrible, but I didn’t take it seriously. I then realized that if I couldn’t take myself seriously, then I couldn’t expect other people to either.
Therefore, I made the decision to get my blog professionally done. That’s when I did some research and reached out to Alexis from Laugh Eat Learn . Alexis was so amazing to work with! She gathered information from me and really understood what I was looking for. She consistently communicated with me and didn’t hesitate to edit any design I asked to be edited. After several revisions, she finally created this masterpiece of a website! (input heart eyes emoji!) Basically…Alexis is extremely talented and you should use her for any of your future designs!! Check out her website!
I’m looking forward to sharing with you all not only information about teaching, but stories and opinions about this crazy thing we call life!
Thank you for being here!
